Announcing BridgeLink Professional Version 7.0, PGSuper Professional 7.0 and PGSplice Professional 7.0. This new release provides many new features and improvements to both PGSuper and PGSplice.
PGSuper
Updates in PGSuper 7.0
- Added support for Grade 300 strand
- Added Moment Capacity Details Report to show full details of strain compatibility analysis
- Added autosave and recovery features
- Added ability to export data from graphs into Excel or CSV text file
- Added load rating results to TxDOT Summary Report and CAD Export file
- Added new user interface elements that make input and management of connection data easier
- Added feature to model different size harped and straight strands (e.g. 0.6" harped and 0.7" straight)
- Added computation details of pier diaphragm dimensions when the Compute option is used in the Pier dialog
- Added feature to model eccentric loads due to overhang brackets in stability analysis
- Added more testing of creep coefficients to test suite
- Added check for strand elongation greater than 3.5% per ASTM A416 to moment capacity analysis
- Load ratings can now be performed for a single girder, a collection of girders, or a girderline
- Documentation can be displayed in the default web browser at the user's option
- Improved efficiency of strain compatibility moment capacity analysis by using a properties-only generic shape for reinforcement instead of an area-equivalent rectangle

- Fixed problem with slab offset data being altered after adding a temporary support
- Fixed problem updating input data when a duct library entry is renamed to resolve a library entry conflict
- Added reporting of post-tensioning input data in Details Report
- Added footnote to Girder Bearing Reactions table for spliced girders that explains reactions are for segments just after setting and the Girder Reactions are for reactions after post-tensioning
- Fixed Structural Analysis Error problem for certain combinations of segments, supports, and strongbacks
- Title of Timestep Details report is now dynamically generated to reflect the report contents
- Improved guidance message when intermeidate diaphragm loads are applied after deck casting
- Added effect of incremental dead load moment for lifting and hauling to time-step creep analysis
- Fixed unit conversion error with input of Pjack for plant installed tendons
- Fixed calculation of anchor set losses for plant installed tendons jacked from the right end of the segment
- Fixed f'c at time of loading used to compute kf and ktd parameters for AASHTO LRFD creep and shrinkage equations for time-step analysis
- Fixed abnormal program termination for segments in different groups cast in other than the first interval

We have been busy in the PGSuper world, adding support for the latest AASHTO Specifications, new productivity features, and many new capabilities for girder design and analysis. Below is a bullet list of some main new features, but we recommend that you just take it for a test ride!

PGSplice™ is Precast-Prestressed, Post-Tensioned Spliced Girder design, analysis, and load rating software. PGSplice™ can be used to design, check, and load rate precast-prestressed spliced girder bridges in accordance with the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specification and DOT agency-specific criteria. Analysis is performed with a detailed time-step methodology. Specification checking evaluates girders for compliance with strength, service, and detailing criteria. Girder segments are evaluated for stresses and stability during handling and transportation.
